Basketball Recap: Shallowater Skates Past Kermit with Ease

Shallowater had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Kermit Yellow Jackets 100-35 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Yellow Jackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dre Bossett, who posted seven points. Abel Muniz was another key player, putting up five points.

Kermit's loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Coincidentally, Shallowater and Kermit will both be playing Dumas the next time they take the court. Kermit will head out to face Dumas at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, while Shallowater will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
