The Academy Wildcats will head out to take on the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Eagle Ridge Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on The Academy, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when The Academy faced off against Jefferson Academy on Wednesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 3-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

The Academy got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-16, 30-28, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Eagle Ridge Academy came up short against Forge Christian on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Fury: they've now lost five in a row.

Eagle Ridge Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-13.

Eagle Ridge Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for The Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12.

Everything went The Academy's way against Eagle Ridge Academy in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as The Academy made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
