Soccer Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Volunteer

While Volunteer didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-12-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They never let the Union Bears get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Thursday. It was an even better day for Cameron Cox as he scored three goals for his team.

The victory made it two in a row for Volunteer and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Union, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Coming up, Volunteer will venture away from home to face off against Cherokee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cherokee will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Volunteer surely won't give up without a fight. As for Union, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Gate City at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th.
