Basketball Game Preview: Adena Warriors vs. Westfall Mustangs

Adena and Westfall are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Adena Warriors will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Westfall Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. Adena has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 3.

Adena is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell just short of Piketon by a score of 56-53 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered against the Redstreaks since December 10, 2021.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Westfall ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They snuck past Lynchburg-Clay with a 58-54 win.

Westfall's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11. As for Adena, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-19.

Adena beat Westfall 49-41 when the teams last played back in January. Will Adena repeat their success, or does Westfall have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
