Softball Recap: Octorara Area Braves vs. Oxford Hornets
Octorara Area took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Oxford Hornets 4-3. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Braves as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
The team relied heavily on Campbell King, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Tidd, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Coming up, Octorara Area will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Twin Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Octorara Area has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Oxford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Solanco at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
