Slidell extended their postseason success on Saturday against Zachary. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Broncos. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Charles Burdett and Troy Green made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Burdett pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Green struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Burdett has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 12 consecutive appearances. At bat, Burdett went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Green went 2-for-3 with one double. That's the most RBI Burdett has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sergio Sotillo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Elijah Strahan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Slidell's record now sits at 26-10. As for Zachary, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-16-1.

Looking ahead, Slidell will take on Northwood on Tuesday. Zachary does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
