Flag Football Recap: Mountain Brook Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hueytown, Mountain Brook was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They managed a 12-7 win over the Homewood Patriots. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 21-0 victory the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Mountain Brook picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Homewood, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mountain Brook will venture away from home to challenge Oak Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Homewood, they are taking a road trip to face off against Spain Park at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars' defense has only allowed 11.6 points per game this season, so the Patriots' offense will have their work cut out for them.
