It was a good run, but Benson unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Tombstone Yellow Jackets, falling 10-0. The Bobcats were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the five matchups prior), but the Yellow Jackets' pitchers proved too tough.

Benson's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-10-1. As for Tombstone, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6-1 record this season.

Benson will host Thatcher at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tombstone, they will venture away from home to take on Santa Rita at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Yellow Jackets are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
