Baseball Recap: Olive Branch Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Olive Branch can now relate to. They lost 8-0 to the Ridgeland Titans on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Conquistadors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Olive Branch saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeffrey Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Olive Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Ridgeland, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Olive Branch nor Ridgeland have any future games scheduled.
