Recap: York Prep Patriots vs. Central Eagles
The York Prep Patriots won the last time they faced the Central Eagles, and things went their way on Friday too. York Prep walked away with a 46-34 win over Central. The victory made it back-to-back wins for York Prep.
York Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gracie Robinson, who scored 19 points. Robinson is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Payton Munsey was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds.
Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sierra Covington, who scored six points along with five rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Griffin, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
York Prep now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19.
York Prep will head out on the road to challenge Lee Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lee Central's defense has only allowed 27.2 points per game this season, so York Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
