Gulf Breeze had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Fort Walton Beach Vikings with a sharp 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Dolphins, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Presley Moseley made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Moseley was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Jake Hooten was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Roman Jackson was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.

Gulf Breeze always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Gulf Breeze's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Fort Walton Beach, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Coming up, Gulf Breeze will square off against Pace at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pace will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Gulf Breeze surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fort Walton Beach, they will challenge Pine Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
