Eastlake and Pebble Hills are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2021, but likely not for long. The Falcons will be playing at home against the Spartans at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Eastlake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Eastlake turned things around against Franklin on Saturday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Cougars.

Ava Licerio tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March.
At the plate, Gabriella Martinez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Samantha Ponce was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Eastlake kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 14-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Pebble Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Socorro, falling 17-6.
Isabel Ramos led a balanced group of hitters, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Layla Torres, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.
Eastlake's win bumped their record up to 21-11. As for Pebble Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 12-20.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Eastlake hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .357. However, it's not like Pebble Hills struggles in that department as they've averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Eastlake took their victory against Pebble Hills when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 16-5 score. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
