Football Recap: North Port Comes Up Short

North Port extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were dealt a 47-20 defeat at the hands of the Sarasota Sailors. The Bobcats were down 40-13 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, North Port saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jax Stoltzfus rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.

As for Sarasota, they now have a winning record of 2-1. They haven't had any issues with North Port recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Sarasota found their leader in sophomore Hudson West, who threw for 326 yards and five TDs. Viktor Monoki was in the mix too, providing the Sailors with two scores.

North Port wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 28-7 victory against Bonita Springs on the 12th. As for Sarasota, they have also already played their next game, a 21-16 win against Gibbs on the 12th.
