Volleyball Recap: High Plains Storm vs. Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats
On Tuesday, the High Plains Storm didn't have quite enough to beat the Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats and fell 3-2.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, High Plains sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 17-25, 25-16, 19-25, 15-8.
Courtney Carlstrom paced High Plains' offense, picking up 13 kills. Carlstrom got some help from
Gahvi Lesiak and her 15 assists. Finally, Carlstrom was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
High Plains' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 21-10. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-10.
