Softball Recap: Springboro Wins Going Away Against Wayne

It's playoff time, and Springboro had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Wayne Warriors 13-3 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Riley Lucas made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Lucas was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

Springboro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Springboro's record is now 18-10. As for Wayne, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-16.

As of now, neither Springboro nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
