Recap: Sparta Trojans vs. Buffalo Bison
The Sparta Trojans had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 60-28 victory over Buffalo on the road. That's another feather in the cap for Sparta, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jacob Lafferty had an outrageously good game as he scored 35 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rowdy Ball, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Buffalo had strong showings from Braden Mcgregor, who scored 10 points, and Matthew Skinner, who scored 5 points.
Sparta's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Buffalo, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sparta will face off against Mountain Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Buffalo, they will head out on the road to face off against Eldon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
