Basketball Game Preview: West Wilkes Blackhawks vs. Avery County Vikings + How To Watch

West Wilkes is 0-3 against Avery County since November of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Blackhawks will venture away from home to challenge the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, West Wilkes came up short against West Caldwell and fell 64-53.

Meanwhile, Avery County played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against North Henderson, falling 74-52. The Vikings were down 60-40 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Having lost for the first time this season, Avery County fell to 2-1. As for West Wilkes, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

West Wilkes and Avery County were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup on Friday, but West Wilkes came up empty-handed after a 64-63 loss. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Vikings' Hank Johnson, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 25 points and seven rebounds.
