Soccer Game Preview: ALA - Gilbert North vs. Combs

The ALA - Gilbert North Eagles will take on the Combs Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as ALA - Gilbert North comes in on five and Combs on three.

On Wednesday, ALA - Gilbert North got the win against Estrella Foothills by a conclusive 9-1. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Combs had just enough and edged Tempe out 3-2 last Tuesday. Izaak Jeffcoat had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble the Coyotes got from the refs.

Combs hit Tempe with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mckade Cobb, Andres C. Martinez, and Andy Acosta.

ALA - Gilbert North is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 52 goals over those ten contests. As for Combs, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

ALA - Gilbert North beat Combs by a goal in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 4-3. Will ALA - Gilbert North repeat their success, or does Combs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
