Softball Preview: Ridgevue Warhawks vs. Capital Golden Eagles        
        
		
            The Ridgevue Warhawks will be defending their home field for the first time this season  when they go up against the Capital Golden Eagles  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
Ridgevue is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They lost  22-2 to Skyview on Wednesday. Sadly, the  defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.
  Ainhoa Bow made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-2 with two  RBI and one  double.
Meanwhile, Capital won against Vallivue  on Wednesday with 11  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Thursday. Capital's pitcher stepped up to hand Centennial  an   11-0 shutout. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  victory against them.
 Kiya Caltabiano was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-low in  walks (zero). She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  McKenna Chavez was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and two  doubles. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Lizzy Turpen, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Capital  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits in seven consecutive  matches  dating back to last season.
