It's playoff time, and American Heritage had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Mater Lakes Academy Bears 81-33 on Friday. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 23 points or more this season.

Mater Lakes Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Juliet Morillo, who posted six points and nine boards. Morillo is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Vanessa Vancott, who had 11 points.

American Heritage is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. Mater Lakes Academy's loss dropped their record down to 20-10.

American Heritage will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rickards at 1:00 p.m. on March 4th. Rickards will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something American Heritage surely won't give up without a fight. Mater Lakes Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
