Soccer Recap: Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet Comes Up Short

If Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Maplewood on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Royals came up short against the Hillsboro Burros on Thursday, falling 4-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet of the 4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Gabe Rodriguez, who's now up to four this season.

Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6-1. As for Hillsboro, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1-2.

As of now, neither Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet nor the Burros have any future games scheduled.
