Basketball Recap: Mccutcheon Beats Logansport for Their Third Straight Win

McCutcheon had won two straight games and Brody Baker did his part to make it three on Friday. The McCutcheon Mavericks took their match with ease, bagging a 68-41 win over the Logansport Berries thanks in part to Baker, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of McCutcheon's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Shamar Ray, who posted six points. What's more, he also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

Logansport lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Chris Anthony Delvalle, who put up eight points. Cayden Walker was another key player, putting up 11 points and six boards.

McCutcheon pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Logansport, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

McCutcheon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-58 win against Danville on the 21st. Logansport has also already played their next game, a 76-53 victory against Lewis Cass on the 18th.
