Basketball Game Preview: Columbia Raiders vs. Oberlin Phoenix

The Columbia Raiders will challenge the Oberlin Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia has given up an average of 55.9 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Columbia is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since December 9, 2025 on Friday. They lost 72-51 to Keystone. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Oberlin, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Clearview with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 61-45.

Oberlin pushed their record up to 9-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 4.8 points across that stretch. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Columbia couldn't quite finish off Oberlin in their previous matchup back in December of 2025 and fell 60-57. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Phoenix's Carmello Williams, who shot 4-for-5 from long range and dropped a double-double with 36 points and 14 boards.
