Baseball Recap: Lima Central Catholic Takes a Loss

After flying high against Perry on Saturday, Lima Central Catholic came back down to earth. The Thunderbirds came up short against the Celina Bulldogs on Monday, falling 14-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunderbirds of the 6-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Lima Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Celina, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lima Central Catholic will face off against Elida at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Thunderbirds' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Celina, they will square off against Minster at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
