Volleyball Recap: Nova Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Nova posted their closest victory since March 12, 2024 on Monday. They won by a set and slipped past the Coral Springs Colts 3-2.

Nova took Coral Springs into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-16, 25-27, 23-25, 15-8.

Alex Arukakkal paced Nova's offense, picking up 21 kills. Arukakkal got some help from Daniel He and his 23 assists. Finally, Alexander Budde kept Nova's defense grounded, leading the team with nine blocks.

Despite the loss, Coral Springs still got an impressive performance from Jayden Thomas, who had 36 digs.

Nova pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Coral Springs, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-6 record.

Looking ahead, Nova will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Western at 5:00 p.m. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Coral Springs, they are taking a road trip to square off against Stoneman Douglas at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
