Jermaine Robinson Delivers Best Effort of Season

Jermaine Robinson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Oakleaf to the win on Friday. Robinson wasn't messing around, picking up two sacks and making 13 total tackles. The game was his 11th straight with eight or more total tackles dating back to last season.

The victory (which was Oakleaf's third in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Robinson and Oakleaf will be playing at home against Mandarin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Another Game with at Least Six Total Tackles from Kemari Spriggs

On Friday, Mandarin got the W thanks in part to Kemari Spriggs playing the best football he has all season. Spriggs wasn't messing around, making 20 total tackles (1.5 for loss). The matchup was his sixth straight with six or more total tackles dating back to last season.

The win was the third in a row for Mandarin, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. Spriggs and Mandarin will challenge Oakleaf at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Smith As Oakleaf Won 28-14

The second Oakleaf player making an appearance here is Anthony Smith, and for good reason. He picked up four sacks and made eight total tackles. He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

This season, Smith has averaged 7.3 total tackles per game and for the season has 12 sacks. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 1.71 total tackles per game.

Amare' Thomas continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his 17th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least five total tackles. He picked up two sacks and made seven total tackles (4.0 for loss). Oakleaf is undefeated when Thomas posts two or more sacks, but 1-2 otherwise.

On the year, Thomas has averaged 8.9 total tackles per game and for the season has 11.5 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he had 1.5 sacks.

Deion Winstead posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 128 yards. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season.

On the season, Winstead has averaged 78.9 rushing yards per game.
