Softball Recap: Wilson Area Comes Up Short

After flying high against Notre Dame on Wednesday, Wilson Area came back down to earth. The Warriors lost 19-4 to the Salisbury Township Falcons on Thursday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Emma Dalpe was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Maci Kovacs, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Wilson Area's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Salisbury Township, their win bumped their record up to 7-8-1.

Coming up, Wilson Area will be playing at home against Palmerton at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Salisbury Township, they will venture away from home to challenge Notre Dame-Green Pond at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
