Volleyball Game Preview: Castle View Sabercats vs. Regis Jesuit Raiders

The Castle View Sabercats will face off against the Regis Jesuit Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Castle View will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Castle View is returning to their home court after beating Bear Creek on theirs, despite the fact Bear Creek has dominated at home this season. The Sabercats walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bears on Thursday.

The win didn't come easy: Bear Creek scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19, 26-28, 25-19.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Regis Jesuit's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of Highlands Ranch by a score of 3-2. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 25-15 in the first set.

Regis Jesuit actually scored more points across those five sets (109-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 26-24, 25-22, 23-25, 15-13.

Regis Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Castle View, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.

Castle View beat Regis Jesuit 2-0 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Do the Sabercats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
