Cypress Bay took Coral Gables into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-14, 24-26, 25-27, 15-12.

Among those leading the charge was Julia Diaz, who had 19 digs and one assist. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played.
Cypress Bay was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They are a perfect 11-0 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Doral Academy made easy work of Palmetto on Saturday and carried off a 3-0 win. The Firebirds haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Doral Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-10, 25-16.
Doral Academy found their leader in sophomore Amy Smith, who had 28 assists and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Smith.
Cypress Bay's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Doral Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-13.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's match: Cypress Bay has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 9.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Doral Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
