They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Andress. The win was some much needed relief for Canutillo as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Canutillo took Andress into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-21, 16-25, 17-25, 15-11.
Canutillo's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Andrea Guerrero, who had 15 digs and two aces, and Mikira Wilkes, who had nine kills, three digs, two blocks, and two aces. That's the most aces Wilkes has posted since back in September.
Meanwhile, Burges came up short against Chapin two weeks ago and fell 3-1. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
