Football Game Preview: Weatherford Kangaroos vs. Mansfield Tigers + How To Watch

The Weatherford Kangaroos will square off against the Mansfield Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Weatherford has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 5.

On Friday, Weatherford came up short against Boswell and fell 44-35.

Despite the loss, Weatherford got top-tier performance from Dj Quimby, who rushed for 197 yards and four TDs while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Brooks Kerbow was another key player, throwing for 247 yards and one touchdown while completing 73.9% of his passes.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Mansfield challenged North Crowley on Thursday. The Tigers took a blow against the Panthers, falling 70-21. The Tigers gained 72 more yards on the day, but it was the Panthers that made the best use of them.

Weatherford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Mansfield, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Weatherford was taken down by Mansfield 42-10 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Kangaroos, Braxton Van Cleave (who threw for 170 yards and three TDs while completing 88.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 72 yards and one score on only seven carries) won't be suiting up this time.
