Softball Recap: Midwest Central/Illini Central Comes Up Short

Midwest Central/Illini Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 8-2 to the Havana Ducks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 7-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Midwest Central/Illini Central saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Meeks, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

Midwest Central/Illini Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Havana, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2-1 record this season.

Midwest Central/Illini Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Havana, they will host Illini Bluffs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
