Soccer Game Preview: Midway vs. Waxahachie

The Midway Panthers will face off against the Waxahachie Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Midway is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering A&M Consolidated just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Panthers haven't been shut out since back in January.

Meanwhile, Waxahachie unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak last Friday. Neither they nor Mesquite could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Indians have been dealt a draw since back in January.

Midway's loss dropped their record down to 12-8-2. Waxahachie's draw gives them a new season record of 14-7-3.
