Football Recap: Madison-Grant Skates Past Blackford with Ease

Madison-Grant put their dominant defense on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Blackford Bruins 62-0. The Argylls have beaten the Bruins the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bruins has come to flipping the script.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Oj Blackwell and Jon Stanley. Blackwell rushed for 87 yards and a pair of scores while Stanley rushed for 77 yards and two TDs on only eight carries. Blackwell got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 55 yards. Rosin White was in the mix too, providing Madison-Grant with two touchdowns.

Madison-Grant was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blackford only rushed for -56 rushing yards.

Madison-Grant's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Blackford, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
