Volleyball Recap: Pompano Beach Gets the Win

Pompano Beach won the last time they faced West Boca Raton and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes walked away with a 2-0 win over the West Boca Raton Bulls. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Tornadoes.

Francesco Yeats paced Pompano Beach's offense, picking up ten kills. Yeats got some help from Sebastian Palacios and his 21 assists. Palacios was also a major player on defense: he and he shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

Pompano Beach now has a winning record of 5-4. As for West Boca Raton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pompano Beach will take on Coral Springs Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West Boca Raton, they will square off against St. John Paul II Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
