Softball Game Preview: Brewster Bears vs. Clarkstown North Rams

The Brewster Bears will square off against the Clarkstown North Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Brewster fell victim to Hendrick Hudson and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 9-0 to the Sailors. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Sailors recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Clarkstown North posted their closest victory since May 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Scarsdale, sneaking past 12-11. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Peyton Conti was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brianna Winrow, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Clarkstown North hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Brewster now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Clarkstown North, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
