Baseball Recap: Clearwater Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Clearwater Central Catholic lost against Calvary Christian back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Clearwater Central Catholic fell 5-2 to Calvary Christian. The Marauders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clearwater Central Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Brkljacic, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Those two hits gave Brkljacic a new career-high.

Clearwater Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Calvary Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Coming up, Clearwater Central Catholic is taking a road trip to challenge Shorecrest Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Shorecrest Prep has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Calvary Christian, they will be playing at home against Tampa Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
