Concord gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Central Cabarrus Vikings 3-2. Even though Concord got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Jhonathan Olvera-Navarro was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Aldahir Sanchez and Rowen Klauss scored all three of Concord's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Looking ahead, Concord is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Cox Mill at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central Cabarrus, they will square off against Jay M. Robinson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
