Softball Recap: Rigby Beats Madison for Their Fourth Straight Victory

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Rigby ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Madison Bobcats 10-9. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Rigby got a massive performance out of Madison Jensen, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Jensen has posted since back in April of 2024. Addison Cox was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Rigby's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Madison, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rigby will head out to square off against Skyline at 4:00 p.m. on April 7. As for Madison, they will venture away from home to challenge Pocatello at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison's pitchers better be ready for this one: Pocatello has averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
