Soccer Game Preview: Rowe vs. Vela

The Rowe Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Vela Sabercats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rowe will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Rowe proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their defense stepped up to hand Pioneer a 1-0 shutout. The Warriors' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Vela made sure to put some goals up on the board against Sharyland on Friday. Everything went their way against the Rattlers as they made off with a 4-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Sabercats, who have now won six games by three goals or more so far this season.

Vela now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Rowe, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.

Everything went Rowe's way against Vela in their previous matchup back in February, as Rowe made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rowe since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
