Football Recap: Immanuel Christian Skates Past Desert with Ease

The Immanuel Christian Crusaders blew past the Desert Scorpions, posting a 56-7 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

Immanuel Christian was led to victory by Romelle Harris and Mazyn Weaver. Harris gained 277 total yards and five touchdowns, while Weaver rushed for 104 yards and three TDs on only eight carries. Harris also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles and defending three passes.

Immanuel Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Desert, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Immanuel Christian will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Mojave at 7:30 p.m. on September 6. The match will give the Crusaders their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Desert, they will venture away from home to square off against Trona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
