Preview: Pomona Panthers vs. Gateway Olympians
The Pomona Panthers will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Gateway Olympians at 4:00 p.m. on December 20th. Hopefully Pomona focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Pomona made easy work of Conifer and carried off a 37-13 win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Pomona has managed all season.
Kendra Ritzmann was her usual excellent self, scoring eight points along with 12 rebounds and eight steals. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. Teagan Anna was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 57 points the game before, Gateway were a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They took a serious blow against Standley Lake, falling 64-12. Gateway was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-7.
Pomona now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Gateway, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
