On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Wahama's defense and their four sacks. Webster County's QB won't forget Ian Fowler anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Fowler also set a new season high mark in total tackles with nine.

Gilmer County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Wahama, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.

Gilmer County was taken down by Wahama 53-6 in their previous matchup back in October of 2023. Thankfully for Gilmer County, Sawyer Vanmatre (who rushed for 220 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes) won't be suiting up this time.
