Baseball Game Preview: West Warriors vs. Peninsula Panthers

The West Warriors will be taking part in a tournament against the Peninsula Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

West lost 9-2 to Arcadia on Wednesday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alberto Gomez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run marked the first that Gomez scored this season.

Meanwhile, Peninsula was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of South.

West's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Peninsula, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
