Football Game Preview: Jackson County Blue Devils vs. Trousdale County Yellowjackets

The Jackson County Blue Devils will venture away from home to take on the Trousdale County Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Jackson County nor Trousdale County posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 48-7, which was the final score in Jackson County's tilt against Gordonsville on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Tigers are ranked 61st).

Meanwhile, Trousdale County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The game between the Yellowjackets and Smith County didn't end well, with the Yellowjackets falling 22-8.

Trousdale County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Jackson County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Jackson County against Trousdale County in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 28-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
