The Swallows Charter Academy Spartans will face off against the Pueblo South Colts at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pueblo South took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Swallows Charter Academy, who comes in off a win.
While Swallows Charter Academy's victory against Peyton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Panthers 3-2.
Swallows Charter Academy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-11, 23-25, 22-25, 25-15, 15-6.

Swallows Charter Academy relied on the efforts of Alianna Montoya, who had 13 digs and two aces, and Taylor Bond, who had 14 kills, six digs, and four aces. That's the most aces Bond has posted since back in September.
They weren't the only good servers: Swallows Charter Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Pueblo South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss. They came up short against Pueblo East, falling 3-0.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-6, 25-14.
Pueblo South's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Swallows Charter Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Swallows Charter Academy took their victory against Pueblo South in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Colts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
