Soccer Recap: Fort Mill Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lucy Beckham on Saturday, Fort Mill came back down to earth. The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets fell just short of the Riverside Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellow Jackets of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.

Their goal came courtesy of Baxley Hunsucker, which was the first she's scored this season.

Fort Mill dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Riverside, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Fort Mill will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Catawba Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on March 11th. As for Riverside, they will take on Boiling Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Riverside's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
