Preview: Montgomery Tigers vs. Dodson Panthers
Montgomery is 7-0 against Dodson since November of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Montgomery Tigers will get right back to it and host the Dodson Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on December 12th. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Montgomery has six straight victories, Dodson has 34 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, everything went Montgomery's way against Simsboro as Montgomery made off with a 49-27 win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Montgomery to victory, but perhaps none more so than A Manson, who scored 11 points along with nine assists and seven rebounds. The matchup was Manson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Z Gates was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Dodson came up short against Grace Christian on Friday and fell 40-32.
Montgomery's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-5. As for Dodson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
Everything came up roses for Montgomery against Dodson in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 54-12 win. Does Montgomery have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dodson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
