INDEPENDENCE, Ohio -
Kirtland (Ohio) extended its winning streak to 10 games with a 63-28 victory over Independence (Ohio) on Saturday.
The Hornets were up 36-0 at the half after taking the lead on a
Damon Washington touchdown run in the first quarter.
Both teams scored seven points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at 36 entering the fourth.
Kirtland's standout player in the win was Washington. The senior wide receiver ran for three touchdowns and caught one touchdown. He has now scored 31 touchdowns on the season.
