Basketball Game Preview: Sussex Central Golden Knights vs. Dover Senators

Sussex Central is 0-10 against Dover since February of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. Having just played yesterday, the Sussex Central Golden Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Dover Senators at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Sussex Central is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest victory since January 16th on Tuesday. They skirted past Caesar Rodney 63-61.

Meanwhile, Dover entered their tilt with Sussex Tech on Tuesday with ten consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 11. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Ravens 76-36. The Senators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Dover pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.2 points. As for Sussex Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Sussex Central came up short against Dover in their previous matchup back in January, falling 45-36. Can Sussex Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
